Pastor Joe Maldonado has served in the gospel ministry for 19
years. He has been the pastor of Hillburn Drive Grace Baptist
Church since December of 1989. He was ordained and sent out
from Community Baptist Church.  Two other families were sent
with Pastor Maldonado to start the work at H.D.G.B.C.  Pastor
Maldonado has a love and desire for evangelism, missions and
the truths centering around the local New Testament Church. He
has communicated to his congregation the importance and
vision of establishing new churches.

In December of 1991, Hillburn Drive Grace Baptist Church
established the Sovereign Grace Baptist Church in Springfield,
LA. This church is actively strong and pastored by James
Downing who is faithful to the preaching of God's truth.

In May of 2001, Hillburn Drive Grace Baptist Church sent out four
families to start a Spanish Sovereign Grace Baptist Church.
Iglesia Bautista Particular de la Gracia Soberana, (Sovereign
Grace Particular Baptist Church). This church is  pastored by
Jose Ortega, who was  ordained  at HDGBC and also served as
an elder there for many years.

Brother Ben Latham who was also founding member is currently
an Elder at HDGBC.

Pastor Joe Maldonado has sought to encourage and lead HDGBC
to a love of the truth, a love for the glorious gospel of our Lord
Jesus Christ and a love for the church which Christ purchased
with His own blood(Acts 20:28). In Psalm 26:8 it says,  "LORD I
have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where
thine honor dwelleth."

Pastor Joe Maldonado believes and preaches that the Church of
the Living and True God is a God ordained institution existing for
the purpose of glorifying God. It is manifested and formulated in
a local visible assembly of baptized believers, who are gathered
and united by the Word of God for the propagation, proclamation
of the gospel and for the edification of its membership. "Unto
Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages,
world without end." Eph.3:21.

Pastor Joe Maldonado has been married 25 years to his wife
Sandra. They have 3 children and 4 grandchildren.
